The owners of a hillside home in Sunshine canyon wanted to renovate the existing house and add an addition for a garage, mud room, and lower level exercise room. We significantly altered the existing shell with new window and door locations to maximize views into the valley below, and raised the living room roof and beams. Considering the buildings siting, special considerations were had to made to balance the cut and fill grading. The renovations to the house shell were completed in 2018. The Addition of the garage and exercise room were successfully permitted, but due to construction costs, the project was put on hold.
